“It never gets old and it’s still exciting! It’s what I love to do.”
It all started three decades ago, with a class and a discovery—and then a spark!
“While looking for a creative outlet, I was taking a building trades class at a satellite school. During break I happened upon a revolving darkroom door and had to sneak a peek—it was magic, and I was hooked.”
Tom started by shooting concerts, drawn to the stage lighting and theatrics, and after more than three decades of crafting his passion into a rewarding career—and photographing everything from manufacturing to healthcare, portraits to education, and everywhere in between—he is still enchanted by the pursuit of the perfect shot. He approaches every project through its own unique prism, capturing dramatic images to tell the story of each client, while always looking for another angle; another depth; another something—previously undiscovered.
When he’s not behind the lens, Tom loves spending time with his wife (Shawn) and son (Samuel); and spoiling his golden doodle and black lab (Daisy Mae & Josie). He also likes to spend time outdoors—fly fishing and hiking whenever time permits—and finds great joy in mentoring aspiring photographers.
